Logic Gate Deflector

Incoming energy pulses carrying binary signal states (Inputs A and B) converge at the central processing node. Install the correct Boolean logic gate to transform the streams and output a signal matching the required Target Shield Output (Y) to deflect the beam!

Learning objectiveBoolean Logic · Circuit Routing

Evaluate Boolean logic operations (AND, OR, XOR, NAND, NOR, XNOR) to route signal streams and satisfy target binary outputs.

By the end of a round you should be able to: instantly evaluate twin binary inputs through fundamental logic operations; memorize and apply standard truth tables under accelerating time pressure; and understand how logic gates manipulate digital signals within hardware circuits.

  • Watch the incoming signal stream carrying binary values for A and B.
  • Check the required Target Output Y (1 or 0) displayed at the deflector shield.
  • Click or press hotkeys (A for AND, O for OR, X for XOR, etc.) to install a logic gate.
  • The twin inputs converge inside your gate node, generating a processed output beam toward the target shield.
  • Be alert: stream pulses **speed up continuously** as your score mounts!
  • If your output beam matches the target shield when it arrives, the pulse is successfully deflected!
  • Incorrect gate choices, missing gates, or mismatches breach the defense (-5s penalty).
  • Deflect as many pulse streams as possible before the 60-second timer expires!

EnglishTe reo Māori中文(简体)한국어What it means on this page

On the te reo Māori column. Terms marked as gaps have no attested equivalent in the sources checked — Paekupu (Hangarau Matihiko), Te Aka and the CS Unplugged kuputaka. Following the practice used elsewhere in this project, no coinage is printed as though it were established; where a class needs one, commission it from Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Māori and credit the translator. Te reo Māori is not italicised and takes no plural "s".
